The Ohio Association of Blood Banks, founded in 1966, was a state organization dedicated to promoting communication, education, excellence, and professionalism. The Association’s goal was to provide sharing of ideas, information, and experience among members of the blood banking community.
On December 4, 2020, the membership met and unanimously approved a motion to dissolve the organization and disperse all remaining funds. This decision was a difficult one, however, deemed necessary due to decreasing membership and especially lack of individuals willing to serve in leadership roles.
No individual or institutional membership notices will be issued for 2021 (and beyond) as corporate wind down activities are in progress.
